3.5 pounds of hormone and drug free grass fed local beef going into the crockpot tomorrow with a pile of veggies...probably for ~8-10 hours...first time doing anything this "exotic"...crockpot is a very forgiving tool so hopefully this becomes a good low mess low effort meal prep method. I am ALL for low mess with low effort!

I love crockpots. Don't use mine as often as I could though. Hopefully this turned out well for you. I apologize for not being around for such a long time. Lots of different reasons, but won't go into any of them because none of them are interesting!! I am heading up to Tennessee on May 10th. It is my granddaughter's 8th grade trip and I am chaperoning. Crazy me! If I survive, I will post some pictures . Have a great week my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt did turn out fairly good....tough to really destroy anything in a crockpot as long as thee is enough fluid in it. Need to do some chili next...10-12 quarts and freeze it in 1 quart containers.
ReplyDeleteI am finally back to baking bread and using Lodge cast iron bread pans which do a nice job....time for another loaf once the kitchen warms up a bit...the bread seems to like ambient air temp in the mid 70 for reasonable rise times.
I do keep checking your page and thought that you have been very busy...good to hear all is well. Good luck with he trip...you will be totally beat by the time you return!
