After a day of rain it was finally wet/green enough to burn ~18 months of branches that had fallen from the 5 pecan trees on the property...and these trees shed more than any I have ever been around.
Wow that was quite the burn pile!! I am back from the mountains. I actually got back a week ago, but had my little grandson all week so have not been online to post anything. I will get a few pictures up soon.
Looking forward to your photos and hope you had a relaxing few weeks. I was happy to finally get the pile burned...it has accumulated over ~a year and a half...nice to see it gone...BUT a few days ago I heard the sound of breaking wood...I looked out the window and another large branch broke...it was still somewhat attached about 15 feet up but there was a significant mess on the ground. I am cleaning up what I can and now have another large pile of fresh branches to replace the pile I finally managed to burn! Oh well...it's a project...lawn needs mowing too after all this rain!
