The neighbors probably think the Clampett's have moved in....gotta do wash and I don't like dryers...one nice thing about living in the high desert was you could hang things out to dry and even heavy towels would be dry in less than an hour.
Ahhh who cares what the neighbors think!! For years I hung my clothes out to dry. That was back in South Carolina when I had a place in the country. I live in town now and I have a decent sized yard and could hang clothes out, but it gets so humid here they would never dry. I have to say there is nothing like freshly air dried sheets. But towels I prefer in the dryer. :-)
Yes...the towels do come out of outdoor drying a bit stiff...have to agree with you there. I'm fairly certain that the neighbors don't care. I am on the smallest lot around here @ 1.4 acres and I very rarely see anyone and then it's not people but cars pulling into 100 foot (or longer) long driveways. DEFINITELY like rural living and as long as I can I will stay rural...it's quiet...lots of room to wander...space to grow things...and small town shopping is wonderful...no lines...definitely low stress living!
