Swedish Rye

A slightly different rye...don't know why this one seemed to bake to a darker color but the crust is great and the taste is wonderful...really outstanding when hot! I am certain really good bakers can do better but this really works for me and it's maybe ~$1.25/loaf for a 1.5-2.0 pound loaf!

  2. What is really great is not only is teh bread quite good it's also zero mess and prep time...dump everything into the machine and 4-5 hours later out comes good hot fresh bread. I keep telling myself I need to learn to do it right...no machine...be a REAL bread baker but that seems like a LOT more work for a marginally better loaf of bread. next experiment is pizza dough!
