I am having better luck after a lack of success...found a few VERY helpful videos that talked about all the things I was doing that I should not have been doing...another loaf tomorrow!
Totally agree. I use clean flour...no glyphosates (sp?) and bread is water, flour, yeast and a bit of something sweet for the yeast and normally I'll add some fennel or caraway seeds. I bought a wheat mill and once I have finished the flour I am going to use freshly ground flour from wheat berries. The wheat loses almost all its nutritional value a few days after the seed is ground and exposed to air so by grinding on demand and baking immediately one actually gets a lot of vitamins and oils that would otherwise be oxidized leaving almost nothing of nutritional value.
Oh that looks delicious!

ReplyDeleteHomemade is certainly healthier for you. That stuff from the stores is not good with all the preservatives in it.
